CHAPTER 13 UPDATE
Most all aluminum hardware threads (car applications -- hardware/mechanical
parts) must be lubricated before assembling – automotive anti-seize compound
is a good lubricant for aluminum threads. If
the aluminum threads aren’t lubricated, some of the aluminum threads will
likely break-off during future disassembly.
